IF Microsoft delivers on a fully compatible MS Office on ARM, it will end up being the only competitor to iPAd in the business space, and my guess is it will make quite a dent in the Apple lead there as well. I have struggled these last two years repeatedly with iPad (1 and 2), Xoom, Nook (jailbreak), and HTC Flyer - NOTHING available on either platform can deliver the holy grail twins: 100% MS Office file compatibility, and a file manager that permits browsing network shares.
Myself, I am now thoroughly enjoying my Samsung Series 7 Slate because it can do everything my HP 2740p did, in a system the size and weight of the screen portion of that 4 pound chunk. But I realize there are many users who want the iPad/Galaxy Tab thiness and weight, and I'm sure that's what the WOA devices will deliver. If they do, then consumers, students, and business users will finally have a no compromises alternative to the iPad. This is so vintage Microsoft - slow to adopt the GUI, even longer to perfect it, but in the end selling 8-9 PC's to every 1 Apple worldwide. Let the games begin.
